Welcome

Invitation to Congress

Dear participants;

Inshallah, we are conducting the 7th World Islamic Health Societies Congress and Fair as a World Islamic Health Union and Sağlık-Der. We determined our main theme as “ONCOLOGY AND 4.0 HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES”.

Every year, more than 19 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer, and 10 million individuals pass away as a result of cancer. In other words, approximately 27,000 individuals lose their lives because of cancer every day. Among the cancer risk factors, tobacco and alcohol usage, a lack of physical activity, obesity, and nutrition are in the front row. 30%–50% of cancers are being prevented by fighting against these risk factors. Most cancers are being treated with early diagnosis effectually. Institutions and decision-makers must act together in order to fight against cancer.

Within this scope, we will meet with Muslim Civil Society organizations active in health-related fields on 15-16 December 2022 in Ankara, Türkiye. At this meeting, we will be discussed issues about the World of Islam in this field through panels, conferences, and group work. Human resources and joint use of financial possibilities will be investigated.

Our congress intends for health workers to approach cancer patients, their families, and their colleagues, within the framework of humanistic, Islamic, and ethical manners. In addition, Congress aims to reward and incentivize health workers’ good behaviors and correct their bad ones.

With this Congress, we hope to strengthen the World Islamic Health Union even further by gathering together Muslim Civil Health Organizations from all around the world.

We wish that this organization brings good wishes to the all health society. We would like to express that we will be honored to see and host you in Ankara.

Prof. Dr. Doğan ÜNAL
Congress President
